Reaper is intuitive once you get over the shallow learning curve - There's nothing I can find or would remotely use that in Pro Tools that Reaper doesn't do just as well - in fact does several things much easier, such as change the pitch of the entire session (for yknow like, playing along with a capo or something. It's my favorite DAW, next being FL Studio (though it's still Fruity Loops in my vernacular!!) You can 'test' it for as long as you want but one day I just ponied up the $60 for a lifetime license, on that principle alone. It's just awesome.įull functionality from the free download they say somewhere on their site that they didn't want to paywall any of the features so you can test the full program. I'll try to keep it brief stanning for Reaper. Newer ones perhaps problematic, would like to record drums with 4 mics instead of 2 but I'm afraid to upgrade since it all works still!! It's well worn and retains full functionality.
